Our Cool New Book of the week is Shigeru Sugiura’s Last of the Mohicans. The book represents the first full-length English translation of Sugiura’s work, who is typically known for his absurd, surrealistic, collage-like comics.
Last of the Mohicans is, in similar fashion, a free-wheeling, very loose adaptation of the traditional American story, marked by Sugiura’s characteristically absurd sensibility and penchant for pop culture references and appropriation. A weird and entertaining read.

I MAY have to pick this up. Looks like a pretty fun/weird read.
