Hopefully it save some time to show him what I’m thinking like this as opposed to him having to translate ideas into layouts. deadlines and alllll
And then he can Egg Shen them—“take what we want and leave the rest. Just like your salad bar.”

Aaaaah! What an awesome weekend. First our favorite guys at Bergen Street Comics threw us a super fun party. Tucker Stone is the nicest greatest guy, in case you didn’t know. Also, Chuck’s big brother Tobey showed up! It was a family affair.
I had too many great interactions with great people this weekend to write them all down. One of the highlights though, was hanging out with one of my best friends from home, Morgan Elliott, whom I haven’t seen in like 10 years. She is an illustrator now too (look for her spots in the New Yorker)! We were miserable in high school, but somehow now I feel like that misery has paid off. She’s awesome.
And, I got to pretend I was in a sitcom with Chuck, Sean, and Joe. In the sitcom, we all live in an apartment together. We stay up late eating a million kinds of snacks, drinking Snapple spiked with Evan Williams, and gossiping. In the morning we yell at each other hoarsely from our respective rooms, arguing about who will go out and get the coffee. My catch phrase is “you guys are idiots.”
Anyway, it was the best. Thank you to all the people who support us, Oily, and comics in general (shout out to Chris Diaz, it was great to meet you!). Thank you to Gabe at Desert Island, Dan Nadel, and everyone else for putting on such a quality show. You guys know what you’re doing. I remember the first year, when it was in that tiny church basement. I knew then that it was going places.
Love,
mm

man, great map
Tell your friends. This thing is going to rock. We will be making a zine collecting the work featured in the show.
Can’t wait for this show in Vancouver! It’s got art by ALL my favorite people and me! Interestingly enough, a lot of names that start with ‘J’ in there…. Jim Rugg, Jason T Miles, Jordyn Bochon. Weird.
i’m excited to be in this show. finishing up my piece this weekend.
