I've been enjoying tumblr, it seems to work really well for the comics community. I'm trying to post there like twice a week or so with new sketches and peeks at some of the pages I'm working on.
I've been trying to get into drawing a new comic story lately - it should be a self-contained story about a movie director who is trying to create a movie about the Tower of Babel and an actor called in as a last second replacement for one of the leads. I'm weighing a few different ways of putting it out into the world right now. It should be "novella" length - about 60-70pp or so. Here's an image of some of the early pages:

Also, I had the honor of being the featured comic book over at the Slate Book Review this month. They put a short review of Only Skin up here. And I illustrated about nine drawings for this month's issue, which you can see here. Here's what it basically looks like:

Also! We've officially signed contracts for a French edition of Only Skin from Rackham! Not sure when it will be out, but I am really excited to see that when it happens.
Okay, that's most of it. Trying to get back to work. I have a few comics shows I'm looking forward to in the fall: I'll be at SPX in about 6 weeks and then Short Run in Seattle in early November and then BCGF in mid-November. I'll definitely have some new prints for those shows, an interview zine I did with Malachi Ward that's coming out through Oily Comics hopefully and also maybe something from that new comic I'm working on.
