In the Studio with OS5

OS5 pages

Still working on Only Skin 5 this week. At some point I will up an online preview of this section of the book, but for now this functions as a sort of lo-fi preview.

Okay, back to work.

Still working on Only Skin 5

Only Skin 5 detail

I'm back from holiday fun and back to working on Only Skin 5. Still aiming to have the 5th issue done for MoCCA 2010 in April.

And thanks to Rob Clough for this nice review of Only Skin 4 over at the Comics Journal. Speaking of the Comics Journal, this interview between the great Jaime Hernandez and Zak Sally was a really inspirational read. Highly recommended.

I hope to have some posts of new Only Skin material over the next few days and weeks.

Also, I am officially sold out of copies of Only Skin 4, but Atomic Books and Secret Acres should have copies for sale. I will try to have copies in stock by the time MoCCA 2010 rolls around in April.

Sundays 3 Review and it's finally available at the Oily Boutique

Rob Clough over at the new Comics Journal blog has reviewed Sundays 3. Read it here. It's a really nice review. We finally have copies of the book for sale online over at Chuck's store The Oily Boutique. Check it out! Also, check out Chuck's awesome new comic WOLF, which is the fifth issue of his splendid Snake Oil comic series.

This weekend, Chuck, Alex, Melissa, Joe and I all went to the Brooklyn Comics & Graphics Festival and had a blast. We sold, traded, bought and had a general good time. You can see our table in this cool panorama shot of the event (swiped from the Beat and taken by Joel Speasmaker). Thanks to event organizers Gabe Fowler of Desert Island and Dan Nadel of Picture Box for putting together a great show. Hopefully it becomes a yearly tradition - it was the best New York show I've been to in a long time. My favorite book of the show so far is probably D+Q's beautiful Red Snow or Domitille Collardey's comic. But I've got loads to read yet.

Work is continuing on Only Skin 5. There's also a nice note on Le Zata about Only Skin 4, though that's only what dictionary.com's translator tells me.

Also, here are a few sketches from my sketchbook.
