Here's a pencilled page from Only Skin 4. The woods are going to get a lot darker when I ink them, I think. More to follow.

An Only Skin Annual by Dane Martin

I've been absent from my blog for a while, because I haven't had a computer with photoshop or a scanner or a job or much else since I graduated. I apologize. I finally have a photoshop enabled computer, so when I'm near a scanner I will scan some of the pencils from Only Skin 4, which is in progress and hopefully on track for SPX. Still no job though, so if you know of a job in NYC that screams "Sean Ford" let me know...

In other news, Dane Martin has agreed to draw and write the first Only Skin Annual, which will also be available at SPX. More info on this to follow, but I'm very excited about this project. Dane drew the drawing above and we've talked about a few story ideas. Dane is one of the funniest, most talented members of the recently graduated class of CCS. If you haven't read Salt Mines #1 or Chancellor Cop #1 yet, you lose. They should be on the I Know Joe Kimpel site at some point, but they will definitely be at SPX as well.



I should have more news soon, but isn't that exciting enough for now? Two new Only Skin comics for SPX? Drawn by some of the most charming members of society? OMG.

Also, speaking of charming members of society, studio-bro and nyc pal Alex Kim won a Xeric for Wall City. Congrats, dude! I believe he's going to have an amazing version of it printed for SPX.
