Secret Acres is online!

The Secret Acres site is online and the website is beautiful and includes weekly strips and criticism and all sorts of other goodies, including an awesome mini comic store. They're going to be an interesting comic book company, keep an eye on them. Their first book is coming out at APE 08.

Hello there, dear reader. I have to apologize for being absent from my blog for the past month or so, but I was deep in my drawing cave. I finished pencilling Only Skin #2 and have begun the inking process. It's great to know that my teachers here like Steve Bissette and Sarah Stewart-Taylor were waiting with extremely helpful feedback. Next week, I'll show the pencils to my classmates, carefully consider their feedback and then ink til my wrist snaps off. I'll be ready for SPX though. I swear.

...well, unless I get caught up in watching my Twin Peaks box set which just arrived (see my sad attempt at the cover below!), or I get mesmerized by my beautiful copy of James Jeans' Process Recess 2. Seriously, BUY that book, it's amazing. Not readily available at the moment I guess, though Amazon did eventually send me my copy that I pre-ordered in March.

Anyway, Only Skin #2 should be good and it will be at SPX and then hopefully at all the stores that ordered copies of Only Skin #1 shortly thereafter.

Also, congrats to CCS pal Joe Lambert, who has been officially tabbed to do a book on Helen Keller. I mean, if you are familiar with Joe's work at all I don't even need to explain to you what a perfect match this is. If you are unfamiliar with Joe's work - CATCH UP! In the words of that guy - "You don't know, you better ask somebody."
